Cooperative Institute for Applied Meteorological Studies
The Cooperative Institute for Applied Meteorological Studies (CIAMS) is affiliated with the Southern Region Headquarters of the National Weather Service. The Institute focuses on agricultural meteorology, marine meteorology and air-sea interactions over the Gulf of Mexico, lightning and severe weather, and Doppler radar studies.

SMART Radar
The Shared Mobile Atmospheric Research and Teaching (SMART) Radar facility consists of two mobile 5 cm Doppler radars with 8-foot diameter dishes. The SMART Radars are a joint project of Texas A&M University, The National Severe Storms Laboratory, Texas Tech University, and The University of Oklahoma.

Lick Creek Field Site
The Lick Creek Park Air Quality tower was erected with funds from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to serve as a rural measurement site during the second Texas Air Quality Study (TexAQS).
