The week of May 19th began with warm temperatures and dry conditions. There were a few reports of severe weather to the Storm Prediction Center on the 19th, and 22nd-25th.  High winds, and hail dominated these reports.  However on the 24th, there were 6 tornadoes reported in the Panhandle and North Texas.  The passage of a cold front on Tuesday brought cooler and drier weather to the state.  High temperatures ranged from the upper 60’s in the Panhandle to the lower 80’s in the Lower Valley. By the end of the week temperatures had moderated to around normal for the month of May.
