Volume 16 Number 3.1                                                                                               March 11, 2003

The week of March 11th began wet and cool, with many locations reporting rainfall accumulations of less than an inch.  Temperatures ranged from the 40’s in the northeast portions of the state to the 70’s in the lower valley.  This was the result of a frontal system that lingered across the state from Sunday through Wednesday.  After its passage the skies returned to mostly clear and temperatures moderated.  By the end of the week temperatures reached the 60’s in the Panhandle and 80’s in the Edwards Plateau region.
