Monthly Review
September 2007 ushered in generally above average temperatures and below average rainfall to the area. The
wettest part of the month was the three day period from the 3rd through the 5th. A total of .72" fell during this time.
Most of the precipitation fell during the first ten days of the month. High pressure then built into the region
providing dry conditions. From the 11th through the end of the month only two precipitation days were recorded.
Average daily temperatures were generally above average owing to warm nighttime temperatures. Records for
highest minimum temperature were tied on the 6th, 7th, and 9th. Near records were set on the 5th, 8th, and 30th.
Minimum temperatures gradually cooled as the month progressed but were still generally above average.
Daytime highs were close to average. A temperature of 96º was recorded on the 27th which tied the 3rd highest
maximum temperature for the date. For the month,  1.72" of rain was recorded which is 2.19" below average.
The average monthly temperature was 81.6º which is 1.9º above normal.
