Mean monthly temperatures were nearly 3F below normal, mostly due to the
anomalously low minimum temperaturres observed across the Brazos Valley. The
-4.8F departure places the month's mean minimum temperature in the lower decile
of observations from Easterwood Field. The average minimum temperature of
51.7F for the period between the 17th and the 30th is the lowest ever recorded
for that two week period in College Station. This was highlighted by the
month's only broken record on the 23rd.
