3. Choose Create New Port. Click on the pull-down menu to the side and select Standard TCP/IP Port. Your window should appear similar to the one below. Clcik Next. |

4. A new window should appear. Click Next. Your screen should seem similar to the one below. Now you must know that name of the printer. The name generally consists of metr, the room number where the printer is located, and a c if the printer is color. The rest of the address will appear as below. By typing in the top box the same text will appear in the second box underneath. If everything is entered correctly; when you click Next you should have no errors. On the next screen click Finish. |

Now it is going to ask you for the brand and type of printer you are adding. Scroll through the menus until you find the correct brand/type combination and click Next. |

The next screen you will get should ask what you want to name the printer. The type of printer appears in the line by default but I usually change this to the name of the printer so I don't get them confused. Underneather the printer name you can choose to make this your default printer. Click Next and the next screen will ask if you want to print a test page. This is up to you, if you think you set it up right skip and save paper but you can print one and double check if you want to make sure. Click Finish and you are done. |
