Graduate Studies Funding

The Department of Atmospheric Sciences offers both M.S. and Ph.D. programs, including a non-thesis M.S. option. Students with physical sciences, engineering, mathematics and/or chemistry backgrounds are all encouraged to apply. Virtually all graduate students receive financial support, either as research or teaching assistants. Assistantships include health insurance benefits, tuition payment and the payment of some student fees. Current stipends range from $21000 to $24000 per year. The cost-of-living in the Bryan-College Station area is generally quite low.
