This module discussed the basic rules of the National Collegiate Weather Forecasting Contest, the procedure for entering a forecast, and a technique for converting from Greenwich Time to local time. The most important bits of information: The forecast period is 06Z to 06Z, roughly local midnight to local midnight. The deadline for entering forecasts is 00Z. You must always make your own forecast. The forecast elements are maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and accumulated precipitation. Every two weeks, we move to a new city.
